WHAT IS IT ?
As part of its 10th birthday celebrations, (2017, April 10th - 17th), Hallucinations Collectives invites you to direct the opening spot of every screening yourself!
You can decide to show us what the festival is to you, whether you choose to focus on its spirit, its artistic choices, the kind of films shown, past editions, the anniversary thing... Or all of it!? You can also get into a different vibe, which is not directly related to the festival ! We do not have any directive to give, you are free, it’s your choice!
You can use any style and work in any genre, your video can be narrative or not, with or without dialogues, live or animated, in colour or B&W...
Registrations are free and open until February 20th at www.hallucinations-collectives.com
Just keep in mind the aim of the spot: to open the festival screenings, and do not go over 75 seconds.
WHEN ? HOW ?
You can register on www.hallucinations-collectives.com until 2017, February 20th.
Don't wait to have your video finished to register : you'll be able to send it later and will allow us to keep in touch with you.
Once you’re registered, you can send us your video until February 20th. We will take care of uploading it onto our website ourselves.
Videos will be made public from 2016, November 21st. This is the date when we put the videos we already received online and when the voting starts. New videos are added regularly, as and when we receive them until 2017, February 20th.
Votes are open until 2017, February 28th.
Voters can vote once, but only once, for each video. The 10 videos with the most votes will be finalists. A jury will choose the winner from the 10 finalists.
CAN IT MAKE ME RICH ?
Let's make it clear : not in the slightest.
The winner will be announced during the Hallucinations Collectives 2017 opening ceremony and will be shown at every screening of the festival.
The winner will receive a copy of each goody from the 2017 edition (tee-shirt, badge, poster...), as well as a financial contribution (total or partial) towards the cost of the trip to attend the festival, a full festival pass and a one-year subscription to Mad Movies magazine.
The 9 other finalists will receive all goodies from the 10th edition.
